The first baby lesser anteater born at Discovery Cove Orlando receives her daily check-up by animal trainer Higinio Covarrubias at the park.

Born Tuesday, September 16th, via c-section, the baby needed critical care from the training staff as the mum showed little interest in her newborn.

Trainers provided supplemental bottle feedings (every four hours) while successfully re-introducing baby to mum.
